Privacy Policy

The Florida Local ("we," "us") operates a curated directory connecting Florida businesses with the people who want to find them. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

  • Information you give us — your name, email, phone, and message when you contact a member, request to be featured, or submit a lead form.
  • Member account information for businesses listed in the directory (business name, contact details, listing content).
  • Basic usage data — pages viewed and listing clicks, used to show members how their listing performs.

How we use it

  • To connect you with the businesses you ask about.
  • To operate member dashboards and listing analytics.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide support.
  • To process membership payments (handled by our payment processor, Stripe — we never store full card numbers).

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except service providers that help us run the platform (such as hosting, payment, and authentication providers), or when required by law.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing hello@thefloridalocal.com. Members can edit or remove their listing from their dashboard.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate core features. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
